Response to Covid-19

Dear Friends and Families

At Bays Dental we are taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously. We are monitoring the situation and are following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA). We want to assure you that the well-being of our patients and our team, is our top priority. With this in mind, we continue to closely adhere to the NZDA's guidelines regarding sterilisation and sanitising. We continue business as normal and we will continue to care for healthy patients with a healthy dental tea

m. We would like to make you aware of some important precautions we have implemented in order to minimise the risks associated with COVID-19: 1) Identifying anybody who might be at risk. Please contact us to reschedule your appointment if: - You have been out of the country in the last 21 days - You have been in contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19 - You have a cough, fever or breathing problems (any cold/flu signs) If you don't feel well, please call us and reschedule. We will be very understanding and appreciative of your honesty. If you suspect you may have been in contact with an infected person, then self-quarantine until testing becom

es available and/or symptoms have passed. Call your medical GP if needed. If one of our dental team members is not feeling well, they will not be allowed to be in the dental office. Together we will continue living in a safe manner. 2) Minimising exposure - Less people per appointment: A kind request that patients try to come to their appointment alone or with only one parent/ guardian. This way we limit the amount of people in our reception and waiting areas. If you prefer to wait in your car and call us when you arrive we will let you know when we’re ready for you in the clinic. -Waiting room: We have removed all books and toys from the waiting room and are wiping all surfaces and remaining objects with hospital grade disinfectant on a daily basis. -Phone or email instead: If you have a dental concern and would like to make an appointment, we ask that you please email or phone us to make your booking. 3) Signing in at your appointments

When you visit us for an appointment, our reception staff will ask that you and anybody who accompanies you, sign the visitors book. This is required to accurately track and trace those who might possibly be infected in a potential exposure. Over the coming weeks we will continue to monitor the situation closely and act quickly on the advice of health authorities. This may mean you see things that look a little different in our clinic as we take additional precautions. We appreciate your patience and your continued support.

As circumstances continue to develop, one thing will remain the same: We will make our decisions with the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and communities as our highest priority. Please take care of yourselves, your families, we will get through this together. Thank you for your understanding and helping Bays Dental to remain a safe environment for all of us. Sincerely, Inah, Lance, Young and the entire Bays Dental team
