Dr Lance Mundy – Lead Dentist
​
Dr Lance Mundy graduated from Otago University's School of Dentistry and started his career by working as a Maxillofacial house surgeon at Waikato Hospital.
​
After a year in this position, he moved into private practice, working first as a locum in central Otago, and then working at a large orthodontic based clinic in Newmarket. Dr Lance enjoys carrying out a wide range of dental treatment, but is particularly passionate about Orthodontic and Cosmetic dentistry. He is well known among his many loyal patients for his gentle nature and attention to detail. Dr Lance gets particular satisfaction from treating patients with dental anxiety, and those who have neglected their dental care in the past.
Dr Lance is an active member of the NZDA (New Zealand Dental Association) and the NZACD (New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry). He is also the current President of the ADA (Auckland Dental Association) and is on the advisory council of the NZDA.
Lance and his wife Inah married in 2014 and enjoy spending time with their young son. Lance enjoys most high adrenaline adventure sports including skiing and whitewater kayaking. He has been an avid mountain biker for over 15 years and can frequently be found at places such as Woodhill mountain bike park, Riverhead, and Dome valley. Wherever possible, Lance will also find an excuse to get down to Rotorua or Queenstown for a sneaky ride!
Dr Inah Mundy – Director / Dentist

If you need a little TLC, Dr Inah is the dentist for you.
Her approach to dentistry is caring and conservative. Having worked at Auckland, Greenlane, and Middlemore Hospitals, Dr Inah has extensive knowledge of medical, surgical and emergency dentistry, including dental trauma.
With a keen eye to detail and artistic ability, she enjoys giving patients the smile they have always dreamed about. Dr Inah has a special interest in combining orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry to create an incredible result.
She is the recipient of over 15 awards and scholarships throughout her studies, graduating with Distinction. She is also a published researcher and author, and has presented her research internationally.
Dr Inah is a member of multiple national and international dental associations and was a member of the Auckland Dental Association executive board for 5 years.
Having attended Browns Bay Primary, Murrays Bay Intermediate and Rangitoto College- Dr Inah is a proud "Shore Girl",
When not at work, she is busy dragging her young family around the north island competing in national dog agility championships with her fluffy Sheltie "Ella" and mini Australian Shepherd "Disney".
Dr Camila Vanegas - Dentist

Dr. Camila Vanegas is a passionate dentist born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She has dreamed of becoming a dentist since the age of 9. Dr Camila graduated from the prestigious National University of Colombia in 2011. With a scholarship earned through academic excellence, she furthered her expertise by completing a postgraduate degree in oral rehabilitation, encompassing restorative and cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.

In 2019, Dr Camila embarked on a new adventure, moving to New Zealand to pursue growth and a change of scenery.
Auckland quickly became her home away from home, where she has been dedicated to serving the community as a general dentist since 2021. Her approach is rooted in empathy and professionalism, aiming to provide comprehensive dental care that ensures both immediate concerns and long-term oral health are addressed.

Beyond dentistry, Dr Camila finds joy in running, whether conquering marathons or relishing the thrill of a mile dash. And as a true Colombian, her day isn't complete without a steaming cup of long black coffee—a ritual that fuels both her mornings and her passion for life.

Danielle Hendry – Oral Health Therapist
​
Danielle is a gentle, friendly hygienist who loves to put patients at ease, especially patients that are nervous or have had bad experiences.
Danielle graduated from AUT with a BHSc (oral Health) degree.
Not only does Danielle provide gentle Scale & Polishes, but she is also passionate about helping patients achieve their teeth whitening goals. She gives FREE treatments to qualifying teenagers from School Year 9 up until their 18th birthday.
She has a huge passion for oral hygiene education in order to get the best dental results. Many problems with the gums and teeth stem from poor diet, poor oral hygiene or a lack of knowledge around disease processes.
Outside of dentistry, Danielle loves going to the gym, competing in bodybuilding competitions and taking her dog, Rosco, for walks.

Emily Haskell – Oral Health Therapist
​
Emily is a graduate of AUT with a Bachelor's of Health Science (Oral Health) and was awarded ‘Excellence in Patient Management’ from the NZ Oral Health Association. In addition to her expertise in dental health, having worked in the industry for the past 6 years, Emily is also a qualified Life Coach.
With a deep-seated passion for delivering patient-centred care, Emily strives to educate and enhance not only oral health but overall well-being using a holistic approach. Her past qualifications in early childhood education and as a mother of three make her a wonderful practitioner when working with children.
Originally from Colorado, USA, Emily immigrated to New Zealand in 2007. Outside of her professional pursuits, she finds joy in outdoor activities with her partner and three teenage children. Emily enjoys long tramps, is an aspiring sailor and enjoys reading a good book.

Liza van Wyk – Practice Manager
​
An organisation whiz, a wealth of corporate experience and a great love for people makes Liza a passionate Practice manager.
Liza graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a BA Communications (Hons) degree. She comes from a diverse working history, with almost two decades worth of working experience in different fields, ranging from Publicity, IT, Sales, Analytics, Project Management and Business Analysis.
A keen traveller, Liza has visited many places like England, Hong Kong, Australia, Paris, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. So Liza knows what she's talking about when she says NZ is best!
A published author, Liza continues to write in her free time, drawing from her experiences and over-active imagination for inspiration.

Estella Gilchrist – Clinical Manager
​
Estella has a positive energy that makes her a valuable part of the team at Bays Dental. She is always more than happy to fulfil and exceed any patient's needs, always with a big smile. Her love for the dental industry continues to grow and strives for our patients to receive the "ultimate" patient experience.
Estella is an adrenaline junkie with a passion for outdoorsy activities but also treasures spending time with her close knit family.

Mia Canter - Dental Assistant

Mia is a cool, calm and collective girl with the desire to fulfill all patient needs to the best of her ability. Mia loves building relationships with patients and providing a comfortable and supportive environment to ensure patients feel relaxed and cared for at all times.

Mia loves spending time at the beach and all other outdoor activites.
Sarah Jeon - Dental Assistant

Sarah is a kind and friendly Dental Assistant who strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. She loves being social and enriching the lives of others by helping whomever might be in need.
Often inspired by her surroundings and people, Sarah enjoys developing her artistic talent in her free time by playing around with colours, painting on canvas and creating beautiful digital drawings.

Lexi Vorias - Front Desk Administrator

Lexi is dedicated to making every patient feel welcomed and at ease.
Her genuine service-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills ensure a positive experience for all who interact with our front desk.

In her spare time, Lexi enjoys staying active by spending time with her mini Dachshund, Frank, taking him for all sorts of adventures as well as going to the gym and doing all kinds of adventurous things.
She also cherishes the opportunity to connect with family and friends, fostering a healthy work-life balance.
